Terms of Service

By booking, you agree to the following:

Scheduling & Cancellations: All lessons must be booked and paid in advance. You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed or late-canceled sessions are forfeited without refund.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds unless your teacher cancels or we decide otherwise at our discretion.

Usage Periods: All lesson purchases (including subscriptions and memberships) are non-transferable and expire as scheduled. 

Unused time is not refunded, except where Membership plans specifically allow rollover minutes as described in your plan.

Conduct: Respectful behavior is required at all times. We reserve the right to end any session without refund if conduct is inappropriate.

Technology Responsibility: You are responsible for your internet, device, and Zoom setup. Tech issues on your side do not qualify for refunds.

Privacy & Transcripts: Lessons may be transcribed for quality assurance, compliance, and insurance purposes. Transcripts are securely stored and never shared in any way that could identify you. We may use de-identified and aggregated lesson data to improve our services, curriculum, and training tools.

Content Ownership: All lesson content, game analysis, and instructional materials are the intellectual property of US Chess Academy. 

Recording, distributing, or reproducing any lesson or analysis (in whole or in part) without written permission is strictly prohibited.

Lesson Summaries: If you receive a written lesson summary, you may use it for personal study only. Public sharing or reproduction is not allowed.

Policy Changes: Terms may be updated at any time with notice provided.
